The Arkansas Hawking Association was established in 1992. Our principle goal was to organize the falconers of Arkansas and establish a respectable relationship with state and federal agencies. It is through this relationship we have had a voice in our state's falconry regulations which has become one of the best documented regulations throughout the United States.
The Arkansas Hawking Association lives true to their mission statement, "It is the Arkansas Hawking Association's mission to work with Arkansas State conservation agencies for the preservation of falconry privileges and the conservation of raptors." Most of our members are also members of the North American Falconer's Association, "N.A.F.A.", a group who is dedicated to conserving falconry in the United States as well as the resources and birds used in falconry.
