The Arkansas Hawking Association Field Meet was a huge success this year. It was held at Butler Lodge in Ethel, AR. Quarry that was pursued and caught included squirrels, cottontails, swamp rabbits, dove, sparrows, and of course a plethora of rats and mice. The species of raptors flown included red-tailed hawks, harris' hawks, cooper's hawks, kestrels and hybrid falcons. The association would like to thank Ms. Ida for a wonderful weekend at her hunting lodge and for all the great food! Our next event will be the summer picnic, which will be held the first weekend in June.
